Ajax-Loading in e:datatable: large database

Hello,

at the moment we are evaluating the ECruiser library with the trail key to purchase it.

Our focus is on the ajax functionality of the datatable.

Therefore we changed the class

simplica.guides.examples.datatable.AjaxLoadingBean

from

public AjaxLoadingBean() {
     sqlDataModel = new SQLDataModel();
     sqlDataModel.setSqlSelect("select * from ORDERS");
   }

to

public AjaxLoadingBean() {
         LOG.debug("AjaxLoadingBean");
         simplica.util.DataSource ds = new simplica.util.DataSource("FirebirdLarge", "org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver", "jdbc:firebirdsql:localhost<img src="http://www.simplica.com//images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" />:\\dgh\\qs\\DATA.FDB", "sysdba", "masterkey", null);
         
         sqlDataModel = new SQLDataModel(ds);
         sqlDataModel.setSqlSelect("select NIDENTIFIER, SARTICLE, SSHORTTEXT1, SSHORTTEXT2 from ARTICLES");
     }

The table articles contains 163586 rows.

But under

Firefox 2.0.0.14
IE 6.0.2800.1106
IE 7.0.5730
Safari 3.1.1

the "last" rows are not displayed. We just see the articles upto the article with the id 163580 or 163582.

Under Opera 9.26 scrolling seems not to work at all.

Out customers would naturally complain if they could not see the hole table.

What can be done here?
